During a career that spans over four decades Mick Reid has undertaken many roles, both within the Australian Health System and internationally. His experience includes bureaucrat, consultant, academic and political advisor giving him a breadth of experience and depth of knowledge that is unique in Australia and second to none.He has been Director of Health in two States, NSW & QLD and for five years he held the position of Director General of New South Wales Health. More recently, until 2011, he spent three years as Director General of Queensland Health. Between these two appointments he worked at the George Institute for International Health, was Director General for the Ministry of Science and Medical Research in NSW and was Chief of Staff to the Australian Minister for Health.Mick holds an Adjunct Professorship in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sydney and in 2011 he was awarded the Sidney Sax Medal for contributions to Australian health services. 

Terrie Paul

Terrie Paul has worked with Michael Reid for over two decades and is a highly experienced project manager. Her role is to provide project governance and financial oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the agreed specifications. She will ensure the project is effectively resourced and manage relationships with stakeholders and project contributors. Her previous roles have included the inaugural Director of the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association consultancy arm, JustHealth Consultants and the establishment of The George Institute of Global Health  as Executive Officer.  She has  performed the secretariat function for the ACT Health Clinical Councils and project managed several clinical programs for ACT Health. Terrie holds a Master of Public Health and a Diploma of Marketing and Public Relations. Terrie has successfully delivered complete project management to many projects, including the development of the online national Palliative Care Training Package, a Review of Peritonectomy Services in NSW, a review of Cardiothoracic Services in Qld and more recently, a Review of Anaesthetic Services for the Mid North Coast Local Health District. 

Current work

  

Most recently, Mick has been appointed to Chair an Inquiry into workplace culture at ACT Health and as Deputy Chair of the Central Adelaide Local Health District Governing Board.


We have also been charged  to provide advice on the management, administration and delivery of public sector mental health services at Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
